In an unintended error, the Postal Service took the Wednesday, October 8, 2025, newspaper to Jackson. The newspapers are working their way through the system and will be delivered by local postal carriers when they return to Greenville.

Community members gathered Monday evening at 410 Nelson Street to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the historic Sh**un House, a 1941 structure that stands as a symbol of Black history and craftsmanship in the Mississippi Delta.

The event, sponsored by Planters Bank and Mitchell Distributing, featured live music by Keith Johnson, known as “The Prince of the Delta Blues.
