Q94 News Alert!

Update…8:30am. The victim of the shooting this morning has died.

In an interview on Q94 this morning Greenville Police Chief Justin Lovvorn confirmed that a 63 year old male was shot around 5:20am by a lone gunman in the parking lot of Hwashin in Greenville. As of the interview the gunshot victim was in stable condition and was most like being airlifted for treatment. Chief Lovvorn said no one else at Hwashin was injured and the shooting appeared to be a targeted event. The shooter fled the scene but information obtained by GPD investigators will hopefully lead to a quick arrest in the case.

Programming Alert!

The Q94 game of the week is currently under weather delay. The game will not kick off at 7 as planned. The storm seems to be moving slowly and hopefully will allow the teams to get on the field shortly. Once on the field the teams will be given 15 minutes to warm up and the game will begin. Q94 News Alert!

Big news for the City of Georgiana. The announcement today of a planned Truck Stop/Convenience store, Hotel and Restaurant to be built in a multi phase plan just off the Georgiana exit of I-65. Georgiana Mayor Frank Betterton stated that this is a big day and it’s possibly the best thing that could have happened to Georgiana.

There are still details to be worked out including the exact start of construction and the total amount of jobs this will bring to the area. The first phase of the project will be the construction of the conveinance store. Below is an architectural rendering of the project.
