In case you were wondering why 140 cylinder heads make more power than a 110, here are some comparisons between the valves. Here is a 110 intake valve in a 140 head & the second pic is a 110 intake next to a 140 intake next to a 140 exhaust.

Autopsy continues on the flooded Corvair engine. Looks like the bearings are trashed and the crank is grooved. In talking to some friends, perhaps the oil filter bypass failed and sent a bunch of trash through the bearings. Video to come soon! The engine is OUT of the Flooded Corvair. So far I’ve found a LOT of glitter in the oil and signs are pointing to a bad bearing. The first set of LED tail lights has been shipped to and then should be available for purchase ASAP! These will only be the outer lights (brake/turn/running). Pricing to be finalized this week but looking right around $50-60 plus shipping (includes LEDs and wiring). Also been working on LED panels for the 60-62 models! Here’s a quick preview!

Beautiful day at Corvair show in Maggie Valley, NC! The weather is fine and so are the cars. About 80 Corvairs from early to late, FCs and wagons made the trip to the mountains. the flooded Vair sticks out like a sore thumb in this field of beautiful rides, but we’re having fun!
