Beautiful day at Corvair show in Maggie Valley, NC! The weather is fine and so are the cars. About 80 Corvairs from early to late, FCs and wagons made the trip to the mountains. the flooded Vair sticks out like a sore thumb in this field of beautiful rides, but we’re having fun!

Work continues on the digital dash upgrade for the flooded Corvair! The clock takes its current time from GOS signal and now there’s a cylinder head temp gauge that should be more accurate! Plus, since I’m doing the programming on the gauge, we can use whatever sending unit we want, and is likely WAY more accurate than factory.

Picked up a new steering wheel for the FLOODED Corvair, thanks to Seth Emerson (for providing the parts) and my mom (for sponsoring it)! I think it really looks great and can’t wait to take the car for a spin!

Stuck at home after , so decided to make some more parts for the flooded Corvair. This time, a plug to cover the fresh air vent hole. What do you think? What else should we try and make next?

Post-op day 4 updates: Slept last night for the first time since surgery, and pain is getting better. The swelling has started but my home health PT says it looks great (and normal). And I finally broke down and put tennis balls on the walker…

Successful knee replacement this morning and now back home resting.

The FLOODED Corvair is going back together! Praying the machine shop did a good job and no more issues with the head. If all goes well, it should be running next week, with a video out on our channel likely the end of the week. Thank you for all the support to bring this classic back to life!

FINALLY!!! Going back together with the flooded Corvair after a couple months down with a dropped valve seat. It’s 98 degrees here in SC and I’m melting in the garage but excited to get this little car back on the road!
