🐾 Two best friends, one very special bond.

Meet Sophie and Chase, two beloved Hollingsworth Park companions whose story is filled with love, patience and plenty of personality.

Sophie came to her family at age five as a companion after the loss of another Shih Tzu. Four years ago, Chase joined the family as a puppy—and Sophie patiently took on the role of his “mother,” even when his favorite activity was playing while she wanted to sleep. ❤️

Chase earned his name within just two days of coming home because he chased everything that moved—leaves, birds, dogs and bikes! At four, his favorite targets are squirrels, chipmunks and tossed toys. He also has a few ways of making sure everyone knows when it’s mealtime or snack time.

Today, Sophie and Chase are inseparable, following each other everywhere and even sharing the same pet bed. 🐶🐶

For their family, these two are more than pets—they’re loving companions and best friends who have brought countless blessings and memories.

❤️ It’s never too late for a new chapter.

In this month’s Meet Your Neighbors, get to know Steve and Julie McClure, a Hollingsworth Park couple who prove that love, adventure and new beginnings don’t have an expiration date.

Their story began with a tennis connection and a first date over lunch in 2017. Four years later, Steve proposed on a chilly Valentine’s morning at Greenville’s Liberty Bridge, and the couple married just over two months later.

Today, Steve and Julie are building a life together in Hollingsworth Park with a blended family of five adult children and six grandchildren. Between demanding careers, tennis, hiking, biking, travel and time with family, they’ve created a life that is anything but slowing down.

From flying their private plane to visit family to exploring destinations around the world, the McClures embrace every opportunity for adventure—and remain grateful for the family, friends and neighbors who make life special.

✨ Their story is a wonderful reminder: sometimes the best chapters come later than you expect.
