Last week I joined fellow neighbors at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and Grocery to meet with local leaders, business owners, and residents to discuss important neighborhood issues (such as the local soccer park, the need for crosswalks and speed bumps, and our resident stray kitty population).

The Greenville real estate market is weird right now. There’s no other way to put it.

Average days on market are up 13.5% year-over-year with inventory increasing by 8%. That means we’re firmly in a buyers market. Sellers are having a hard time finding buyers for their homes, and Realtors across the Upstate are reporting less showings at their listings — often despite being priced well and in solid condition.

So, why are sellers struggling to sell their homes?

I believe there are a lot of factors at play, and those factors have put the Greenville real estate market in a state that it has, quite frankly, never seen before. I get into the details on my latest Substack article!

As a member of this committee I am focused on being vocal about affordable housing and infrastructure when it comes to new developments. South Carolina is the fastest growing state in the nation, and now more than ever our infrastructure needs to be thought through carefully.

Tried .gvl for the fist time last week and was blown away. I had the not-so-traditional chicken wrap with zataar fries. 🤤 The falafel might have been the star of the show though, it was a fantastic dish.

Delicious food at reasonable prices and incredibly friendly staff. Highly recommend checking them out!
