Mood board but make it food 😋 flavors, colors and textures, all coming beautifully together for weekend mornings! Sharing my favorite pancake and crepe recipes below 🥞
Crepe recipe (makes 10-12 crêpes), I always double the recipe!
🥞 2 cups milk
🥚 2 eggs
🥄 4 tbsp oil
🍯 1 tbsp sugar
💧 1/4 cup boiling water
🌾 1 1/2 cup flour (I like all-purpose flour)
Whisk all ingredients except boiling water. Once smooth, add the hot water. Let the batter rest for 10-15 minutes, then start frying! I spray the pan with oil for the first crêpe, then continue without for the nonstick pan. Using the right pan(s) and spatula makes all the difference for perfect homemade crêpes 💚
Perfectly fluffy pancakes:
🥞 2 cups all-purpose flour
🥞 4 tsp baking powder
🥞 1/3 cup sugar (or less if you’re going heavy on maple syrup)
🥞 1/2 tsp salt
🥞 2 eggs
🥞 1 1/2 cups milk
🥞 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
🥞 1 tsp vanilla extract
🥞 Oil or butter for frying
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
2. Add the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract directly into the bowl. Mix everything well with a spoon until combined. The batter will be thick.
3. Heat a lightly greased pan over medium heat.
4. Scoop the batter into the pan (about 1/4 cup per pancake) and cook until bubbles form on the surface. Flip and cook until golden brown on both sides.
5. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
