This evening, the Havemeyer Building was the backdrop for the 4th election campaign kick-off for Republican Selectmen candidates Fred Camillo and Selectwoman Rabin. Camillo said six years earlier, when he first ran, he had promised to take the job one term at a time. “If people thought I did an okay job, I’d keep doing it, but I didn’t want to be a caretaker. I wanted to be somebody in the tradition of the great Griff Harris who was transformational.” https://bit.ly/450TXCV

“I am not sure where the Havemeyers stood politically, but I feel they would have wanted the public school ground and the Board of Education to be apolitical, in their work and what they provided to the public.” – David Wold. https://bit.ly/40d2gJm

"Driving isn’t an option, especially with an additional $9 toll now added to your daily drive into Manhattan. And work from home was great, while it lasted. But now you have to show up at the office in person at least a few days a week." – Jim Cameron https://bit.ly/3Is8Fdx

Our beer & wine expert François Steichen visited Mexico City to do some sampling.
“Beer is a big favorite in Mexico City, and indeed, in all of Mexico. The beer market in Mexico, as one might expect, is dominated by the massive Corona and Modelo beer conglomerates. The heat and humidity in Mexico City means that residents prefer this lighter beer, lower in alcohol, that can accommodate a 2-3 beer session. The major beers are also inexpensive; the same sized Corona or Modelo beer is 1/3 the price in Mexico as it is in the United States.” – Francoise Steichen https://bit.ly/44MdxSi
