This weekend, we took our little boy to Hot Wheels Monster Trucks, and I don't think I'll ever forget the look on his face.
The excitement. The wonder. The way his eyes stayed locked on every truck as if nothing else in the world existed. His joy was contagious, and getting to experience it with just him and my husband while my momma loved on our other babies was a gift I don't take for granted.
Life gets busy. The laundry piles up, schedules fill our calendars, and it's easy to think the big things are what matter most. But I'm convinced it's these little moments that shape a childhood.
The pictures we'll look back on. The memories he'll carry with him. The time spent simply being together.
Those are the blessings.
I'm so thankful God gave us the opportunity to make this memory with our son. These moments aren't lost on me because I know they don't just happen. They take time, sacrifice, hard work, and God's provision.
My hope is that one day, when our children are grown, they won't remember how exhausted we were or how hard we worked. I hope they remember that we worked hard so we could be present. That we made time to create memories. That we chose experiences over excuses whenever we could. I hope they know every long day, every sacrifice, and every prayer was because we wanted to build a life full of moments like this.
Because in the middle of life's mess, these are the moments that remind me just how blessed we really are. ❤️
