We are big snackers at our house. One of our favorite things is Steve’s mama’s toasted pecans. She made them several times during the holidays, and we couldn’t get enough of them. We also enjoy peanuts. When fall rolls around and I see them in the produce section, I immediately know that a big batch of boiled peanuts is in our future.

I really don’t like bugs, especially grasshoppers because they jump. I am not a fan of anything that crawls, jumps, scurries or darts. I was turning off the lights in my kitchen getting ready for bed one night last week, and I saw a grasshopper dart in front of my feet. I jumped and screamed as if it bit me, threw a big telephone book on top of it to realize it was a lizard.
