2. They have huge collection of soap bars and promote them.

3. They have their own brand and other brands that are eco friendly options for household supplies which you don’t commonly find in other grocery stores.

Let’s have an Eco-Friendly Christmas this year and every year!!🎄🎅🏼

Globally our waste levels rise by 25-30% during thanksgiving and Christmas time, it’s basically the most wasteful time of the year.

People tend to buy so many gifts, which are then barely used, packaging and gift wrapping, Christmas cards, trees and decorations!! All add to the waste!!

So here we are adding a few tips to help you celebrate a zero waste Christmas. Look forward to more tips in coming weeks!!

DM or comment if you have more ideas for zero waste gifts, brands, ideas etc.

Did you know that on an average a single person uses 500 Ziploc bags each year? And ziploc bags are considered single-use plastic and are constantly thrown away into trash..

So here is an alternative to it, these are reusable storage bags called stasher!!

Benefits:
1. Made from silicone, which is made from silica found in the sand.
2. Microwave and Dishwasher safe
3. Recyclable
4. Flexible to save space in your Fridge
5. Extremely durable

Disadvantage:
1. Non- biodegradable
2. It’s a little bit expensive (but as you stop spending money on the ziploc bags, this will be eventually more economical)

Thank you for introducing and gifting us these amazing bags!! ❤️

Easy steps To remove labels from glass jars:

1. Remove what you can with your nails
2. If you have some sticky residue, add jar to warm soapy water
3. If that doesn’t work, make a paste from baking soda and oil and apply to residue.
4. Keep it for few mins and again try to remove it under warm soapy water
5. Once clean, you can reuse it by making it spice jar or storage jars to store grains, snacks, etc.

While growing up in India, our moms always Reused the glass jars by filling up spices, grains or snacks in them!!

That not only saved money but also helped the environment by reducing waste!! Buy less and reuse more!! ♻️

Did you know that Around 15 billion trees are cut down each year, And we are planting only 1.9 billion trees per year, that is definitely not sustainable.

Planting trees have several benefits:
1. Protects natural ecosystem for birds, mammals and insects
2. Helps absorb CO2, which we generate a lot and also produce oxygen.
3. Reduces soil erosion which also helps with ground water supply
4. Helps with heating and cooling during different seasons

So how can we help?
1. Reduce our usage of paper towels, toilet paper, paper in general.
2. if you have space around your home, please use it to plant trees,
3. you can also volunteer your time to near by tree planting drives or donate money

Did you know 1 Toilet Paper Roll uses 37 Gallon of Water, 1.5 pounds of wood and 1.3kwh of electricity? 27000 trees are cut down every single day to make toilet paper. Plus it uses other resources for manufacturing, packaging and transportation.

And it is costing more to keep buying Toilet Paper. So it's not ecological or economical. Hence we have decided to switch to Bidets. We ordered the Handheld Bidet, here's the link: https://amzn.to/2P07HJz

It took less than 10min to install and cost us only $25. It goes on almost any toilet. Try it out yourself!
