Interesting Question: Has any one of these members of the Greenwood Council every visited a town where they has been an active data center in place for at least a year to see actual facts & effects of them to the community. We welcome any of them to DM us with a response or simply comment below. Respectfully Pruitt and Allison voted against the data center amendment.

STOP & FRISK - is a suggestion brought forward to help reduce gun violence. Almost every person under 21 in high crime areas are carrying a gun illegally. If guns are found, they are confiscated and persons charged appropriately.

What is behind the great push to have Data Centers in every possible town they can find the resources for? To store data? Really, odd that before computer storage, everything was hard copy which is no where the capacity and we did not have massive warehouses with trillions of docs stacked.

More Punishment for Gun Violence - Look at the following list in full and let us know what you think.

Under 18 Years Old
1st Offenders & Non-Injured Violence is given a choice:
A. Arrested and faces normal charges
B. 2 Years Mandatory Community Rehabilitation Program CRP (completed without further incident = charges expunged

Repeat Offender & Non-Injured Violence under 18 yrs:
• Arrested and faces normal charges plus mandatory 2 year Community Rehabilitation Program.
• If already enrolled in the CRP or previously completed CRP, then Normal charges with ankle monitoring, restricted movement for 1 year.

Violence with injury or death
• Maximum Charge without bond

Over 18 Years old
1st Offence Non-Injured
• Arrested, Charged, Bond Opportunity
• Mandatory 1 year monitoring, School or Workforce, if neither = mandatory Community Work Program

Repeat Offender Non-Injured
• Arrested, Charged, No Bond and Mandatory Community Work Program

Violence with injury or death
• Maximum Charge, No Bond

Felony with Gun Violence
• Maximum Charge, No Bond, Max Sentence

Two programs mentioned above:
CRP (Community Rehabilitation Program - mainly geared toward 18 & under to help guide individuals to make better choices, work within the community, better education, workforce development etc. Parental involvement too.

Mandatory Community Work - a program designed to give some individuals the ability to work for the betterment of the community for some part of their crime punishment.

Newberry County Council voted unanimously Wednesday night to deny an ordinance that would have allowed a developer to purchase land for a potential data center, a moratorium for 2 years. Why did Greenwood County Council refuse to hear this option Tuesday? Is there individuals to profit from land sales? Profit from constructing or running Data Centers? Is any already in the works under some NDA or secret project code name?

Curfew in High Gun Violence Areas - identify High Gun Violence Zones throughout the community and initiate curfew for 16 & under starting at 10pm with zero crowd gatherings for 1 year. Evaluate for continuation or end based on effectiveness.

Self Regional Healthcare’s CEO Dr. Logan appeared at Tuesday’s County Council meeting obviously at the request from someone on council to say how important data centers are in Healthcare. Said the currently store data at several throughout the country. Here’s the question, will Dr Logan ensure Greenwood residents that Self will use a data center in Greenwood if built?
