Painted Lady Cabochons

Painted Lady Cabochons I create one-of-a-kind Painted Lady cabochons, blending artistic images into unique shapes and sizes. All of my items start out with my Painted Ladies.

With over 20 years of experience, my handcrafted pieces are celebrated for their originality and beauty, making each cabochon a true work of art. Each Painted Lady is created on a piece of glass that ranges from 1" to 2". Painting on a very small area is hard enough and then add painting on glass, very difficult. I've been working with fused glass for over 10 years and painting on fused glass for

over 8 years. Painting on fused glass. The process is lengthy, first I cut the glass, top and bottom, to the desired size and shape. It is then fused together which takes about 1 1/2 hours. Then it is allowed to cool. Then comes the fun part, painting. After the painting is completed it goes into the kiln again for about 3 more hours and allowed to completely cool again. It's a long process but when they come out of the kiln it is always a surprise. This is a wonderful mini work of art with lots of personality and detail and each piece is signed and dated.
