CRASH FORCES DETOUR: The Grenada Police Department is currently working an 18-wheeler crash on Interstate 55 near Exit 208 - Papermill. Northbound traffic is closed off and being detoured at Exit 206 onto Sunset Drive. Motorists are encouraged to avoid this area for a undetermined amount of time. Expect delays in this area until the wreck is cleared.

The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Flash Flood Warning for... South Central Grenada County in north central Mississippi until 530 PM CDT.
At 317 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
