What a successful evening! To date, it is the most artwork sold since we started the showcases. Six original pieces of artwork sold, three prints and several greeting cards.

Both of our artists showed very well and were very well received by the guests and community.

The shows are up until August 22-23.

We are playing around with the idea of opening the gallery up for either a weekly or monthly community art gathering where artists can bring their projects to the gallery and work on them in an inspiring environment. We would have a couple tables set up for artists to sit at and work from. It would be open from 10a-5p. Stay the whole time or just a few hours, mingle with other artists or crafters in the area while you finish up a project or work on starting a new one. Not limited to just painting. Knitting, fabric textiles, crafts, etc. Artists bring their own supplies. Photo is for an example.

The gallery is not only for shows, but a place for art to blossom, a place for art to be created.

We would love to hear feedback from the community about this little venture/addition.

Second night of Weiner’s oil painting class! Still life flowers.

We plan on doing more classes this coming fall and winter. No plans for summer classes.

Deanna Skillman’s drawing class starts this coming Thursday. There are two spots left.
