Canada is home to a wide range of natural parks and impressive trails for both hiking and scenic drives.
Take the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, for example. This 185-mile (298-kilometer) route winds along the Atlantic coastline and through parts of Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
The traditional fishing villages were the most captivating. Driving along the trail, I discovered a small village where fishermen had just returned from their day on the ocean. They were carefully examining their daily catch, with smiles and laughter. Apparently they had a fruitful day.
I captured a portrait of this fisherman; his lined face perfectly echoed the aged grain of the dock—a timeless testament to a life by the sea.
Planing your summer vacation, the Cabot Trail on Cape Brenton Island, Nova Scotia Canada, is one of the best vacation destinations.
