Labor Day ain’t just a long weekend.

In 1882, workers marched in New York because they were tired of being used up and forgotten. 12 years later, after the Pullman Strike tore the country open, Labor Day became a federal holiday in 1894. It is to honor the people whose hands built this nation so shoutout to the labour unions across the globe. The ones who fought for a life that didn’t steal it whole. Some of us do not know what a vacation is so enjoy your day like it was one. You are the ones who demanded dignity when greed said you didn’t deserve it. TODAY WE ARE PROUD

That is what Mike Collins wants to take away in many ways. This is a day for the parents on two jobs. Veterans trying to come home to a system that works. Small businesses not being choked while the big money keeps eating. Artists they tried to silence. Thats why Channing Von-T Taylor (THE HOPE) created AMAG...because America is great when the people who do the work are protected—not when they’re extracted from.

When Von-T Augusta with Leonard Hennessy from District 125 headed to Savannah for the DPG convention. The second we hit the Historic District. We all felt that Savannah love. Tourists were out, music in the air, people smiling like they remembered what real community feels like 🇺🇸🤞🏾

Fat Tuesday and the Wexford Pub is a must visit. They featured Victory Drive Band as we enjoyed the food and vibes was live

The Democratic Party of Georgia convention was everything! Charlie Bailey came out and honored our veterans the way they deserve, 🫡then brought up Congressman Sanford Bishop while that was happening, the halls were alive. Tables everywhere and candidates🫱🏻‍🫲🏾 talkin about real solutions so we had to put District 127 sticker right on Nikki Porcher for Georgia Labor Commissioner Georgia map🗺

Ceretta for Georgia took the stage for CD12 with power ⚡️ Representative Dr. Jasmine Clark came through for CD13 so 💪🏾 it took Shawn Harris to calm the room. That’s The Fighting Fifty

When Keisha for Georgia came out to inform us all of her plans for a better Georgia…it’s like everything STOPPED🚫…She spoke on her race for governor.

Von-T bday was the same day Lindsey Graham checked out 💳....so he won't see some of what he helped cause...

Frontier Airlines is not a good Airlines. They have hidden fees, delays, and deny proper care for passengers with medical needs and requirements, and would rather just put you off the aircraft.

Payless Car Rental is the the worst decision you could make for your travel plans...this video says it all! This is the type of mess AMAG will always fight against!

But this IS NOT about a campaign…it’s about being there and showing up when it matters. Somewhere along the way in our American journey, we lost sight of the bigger picture of being there for one another. A survivor who walked through some of the darkest chapters of American history in the 60s and came out the other side still standing, still sharp, still unbroken.✨️

She is wise.☯️
She is enlightened.🧠
She is a spirit you do not play with — like an oracle who sees what others miss and moves with purpose.🤫

And that is exactly why we have THE HOPE Channing Von-T Taylor (THE HOPE)

Because it only makes sense.
You don’t get a man like TDO Von-T without a mother like this.🤰🏽

PART 2!

Every Wednesday COE Cafe Augusta turns The Studio on 8th into pure Augusta energy☄️BLK Sushi hosts open mic nights where all talent is welcome…poetry, spoken word, music, whatever you bring!

Von-T sign was right out front. Flyers were inside. This is not new. We been locked in with the city long before he ran for office!

That night? Over 30 artists🤯 Started with powerful poetry and ran all the way into the next morning. Folks vibed outside between sets, talked real issues, and the owner kept those famous chicken and waffles coming🧇🍗

But the construction nobody asked for🚫 is choking businesses every day. That’s the same greed AMAG was built to fight.

He took the stage, spoke on his "why", then hit “GET DOE” 👨🏾‍🎤 Because we get it done for the people who keep this city alive!

This stage belongs to the people🕺🏾💃🏼Small businesses deserve to thrive. Augusta talent deserves to shine.✨️
