“I’m so amazed at the generosity of people who have offered to make and furnish me with masks. Look at the one I’m wearing- it’s great! This situation is bringing out some of the best aspects of human nature- kindness and caring; it’s wonderful. Being considered an “essential worker” validates my sense of purpose. We are providing a service to our community and I feel really proud of the work I’m doing.”

“I’m getting more used to the routine, it has it’s challenges but we’re getting through them. It can be stressful at times but truthfully, I feel lucky. We’ve had a low number of cases of COVID19 in Mendocino County and I’m grateful for that. People are so appreciative of what we are doing here. I get thanked about ten times a day for being here which really means a lot.”

It's just NOT true! We've asked local residents, visitors and our delivery truck drivers who come up the Highway One route regularly and NONE have experienced a 45 minute delay! Our first "Meet Your Local Farmers" event was a wonderful success! Juanita Rood, of Spanish Creek Ranch in Manchester, delivered her beautiful farm-fresh, fully certified, all-natural eggs to Surf Market this morning. You can find Juanita's eggs behind the refrigerated doors next to our Produce Department.

And speaking of eggs, this is the hands-down, very best recipe EVER for scrambled eggs. Give it a try, you'll see. Happy weekend!
