Kevin Doe Crowsyn

Kevin Doe Crowsyn Speaker - Marketing Communications Professor - Founder of UF Association of Military Alumni - US Army I am retiring from the Army in February, 2027.

I will be available for a DOD Skillbridge internship with your company in approximately August, 2026. I have a passion for digital marketing and strategic communication. I have an established history with developing large regional initiatives and strategies across the country (see" Projects" section). I am currently in my final US Army assignment in Tampa, wrapping up 15+ years in Recruiting Comma

nd and a final total of 25 years in service. Outside of the Army bubble, I have provided consulting services and created social media marketing plans for numerous organizations. I have served as speaker at several notable events, to include Social Media Strategies Summit and the Military Influencer Conference. I am also a part-time professor with West Virginia University's Marketing Communications graduate program. I am a proud University of Florida Gator, where I earned a Master of Mass Communication degree specializing in social media. I am the Founder and President of the UF Association of Military Alumni. I was recognized with the UF Inclusive Leadership Award in the Industry Achievement category in 2024. In a recommendation letter for this award, the Commander of US Army Recruiting Command, Major General Johnny Davis, noted: "Kevin has served in USAREC since 2009 and is undoubtedly one of the organization's single most influential figures of the past decade." As co-author of two US Army Recruiting publications that detail digital marketing strategy and social media management techniques, I am proud to serve as change agent and advocate for modernization efforts. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I implemented comprehensive virtual strategy while leading the Florida Medical Recruiting Company, resulting in them becoming the first in US Army history to be ranked #1 in the country for three years in a row. I have been aggressively working to build my resume, and recently took the opportunity for an 'out of this world' consulting opportunity!

Lucky for me, the wifi on the moon was recently upgraded, so I was able to show the value of remote work from an extremely remote location!

🗓️ Carreer Wrapped 2024: By the Numbers 🔢

2️⃣3️⃣: The end is nigh

In November, I hit 23 years in the Army. Notably, this is the first year of my career in which the Army has 0 spots on my annual highlight reel.

But it all works out, because being underutilized is what ultimately led me to shift my focus and efforts elsewhere, which has paid off immensely! 797 days and counting....

4️⃣0️⃣: It's the new 30

Crowsyn Creative, LLC was founded in July on my 40th birthday. In it's first year, we have launched several niche brands, podcasts, and an online mech shop. We also proudly supported the launch of the book "Bryndis" by A.N. Frederick (now available as paperback and e-book on Amazon, Barnes and Nobles, and more) as the publisher, as well as providing cover design and marketing consulting.

5️⃣0️⃣3️⃣: Nonprofit Success

In 2023, I had the idea to start the University of Florida Association of Military Alumni. I am fortunate to have had an amazing team that laid the groundwork and helped to bring it to life in 2024! It was approved by University of Florida Alumni Association in February, officially launched as a 503c nonprofit in July, and held the first ever Gator Military Annual Awards dinner in November!

3️⃣: Speaking Engagements

For the second year in a row, I had the pleasure of being a presenter at University of Florida Alumni Association's Annual Volunteer Leadership Conference in March. I was honored to be invited to also be a speaker for the U.S. Navy East Coast Mass Communication Specialist Symposium in November and the Veteran Social Summit in December.

2️⃣: Year 2 of Teaching

I began my second year as a professor at West Virginia University! I love the challenge of consistently updating and improving my course content. Engaging with my graduate students and the amazing staff at WVU has been exceptionally rewarding!

🔟 : Inclusive Leadership Honorees

In February, I was among an incredible group of 10 honorees who received University of Florida Inclusive Leadership awards. I was recognized in the Industry Achievement category.

2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣: Big Things Poppin...

I am excited to announce that I will be a presenter at National Association of Government Communicators - NAGC annual Communications School conference that will take place in Pittsburgh in May!

In the coming weeks, I will also be making a HUGE announcement pertaining to my next career move!

Stay tuned...

So...you think you're untouchable?

This year for Halloween, I am doing a throwback to the "Doctor of Thuganomics" John Cena!

As a wrestling fan, I actually spent most of Cena's career rooting against him. At times, I even resented his success as a character and performer as I wished others were better suited for the "top spot".

Now that I am a little older and wiser, I appreciate his work as a performer as well as dedicated representative of his organization, a role model, and all around good guy.
