Someone once told me I would never amount to anything.
For a long time, I believed them.
I didn't know who I was anymore. I only knew how to survive.
Then something changed.
In 2008, I walked into Ms. Galaxy Montana carrying years of trauma no one could see. I left with First Place and Most Photogenic, but those weren't my greatest victories.
The greatest victory was realizing I didn't have to spend the rest of my life living by someone else's opinion of me.
That weekend became the beginning of taking my life back. I started asking the hard questions, facing the pain I had buried, and rebuilding the confidence that had been stripped away for years.
This photo isn't about a pageant.
It's about the day I stopped letting my past introduce me.
If you've ever wondered why I'm so passionate about healing and helping others believe in themselves, this was one of the moments that shaped who I am today.
