🚨 Another Death Inside Parchman 🚨

On August 18, 2025, Lavell Thomas, 49 years old, died while incarcerated at Mississippi State Penitentiary in Unit 26.

Reports suggest that he was suffering from a medical emergency and did not receive prompt medical attention. At this time, the official cause of death has not been released.

Regardless of the circumstances, another life has been lost inside Parchman, a prison already under scrutiny for medical neglect, dangerous conditions, and inhumane treatment.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones of Mr. Thomas during this difficult time.
