Hey there everyone! Lets talk about how the weather has been recently..

Over the past few weeks we have seen some significantly drier conditions and warmer temperatures. We have only picked about an 1ā€ of rain this month we a few areas seeing a little more / little less. Our average high temperatures are currently in the mid 80s (88Ā°F) but we are sitting around 90 daily over the past few days so its been pretty warm minus a few cold fronts here in there over the month.

Over the next 2 weeks I see no relief in sight. Therefore I expect us to continue to drop our lake level which is steadily dropping daily. A month ago it was 94.6% full, today its 91.2%. Our drought conditions will start to worsen and increase the chance of grass fires so you need to start being mindful.

Absolutely no rain chances for this week and next week donā€™t look good either for rain.. it looks warm and dry! Maybe a few clouds here and there.

Start being mindful with those outdoor burns and throwing out cigarette butts!

As it stands, this winter will be warmer and drier than normal too unfortunately.

ļæ¼Tomorrow morning could be wet! Make sure to have an umbrella with you. As it stands we could have a few rounds of storms, the first one as the front moves in the another round in behind the front. Heavy rainfall and gusty winds would be the main concern especially with the first round. Flash Flooding could become a concern too after a while.

Timeline: 6 AM - 2 PM.
Hazard: Heavy rainfall, gusty winds (50-60 mph), small hail possible. Flash Flooding in localized spots.

**7 DAY FORECAST**

Monday-Sunday:
As it stands, we have to get warmer before we get cooler! The next few days will be toasty with highs in the mid/upper 90s, heat index in the low triple digits with little to no rain chances. BUT, Tuesday night things do take a change. As a cold front begins to move in, it will likely kick off a few strong storms to our NW and move into our area in the dawn hours of Wednesday. Widespread heavy rain is likely along with gusty winds up to 60 MPH. Right now the sevre weather threat IS there but LOW. Iā€™ll keep an eye on it. After that, the temperatures begin to drop back to normal, highs in the 80s and low humidity. I do believe after that we begin to enjoy the lower temps for a few days with lows in low 60s even a few upper 50s possible. But as we head into Friday, a south wind returns and we start heating up again. For the weekend, temperatures begin to increase along with the humidity but we shouldnā€™t get too warm before our next front hits us later in the week. A slight pattern change is coming in soon! Starting tomorrow we begin to increase the rain chances. Likely a decaying complex of storms tomorrow (midday) then another round possibly Sunday night but itā€™s something we will keep an eye on. Stay tuned for more updates!

P.S. Wondering when cooler weather will come? Likely next week we start dropping high temperatures (Around Tuesday) due to a cold front, highs go from mid 90s to the low - mid 80s.

There could be some rain tomorrow mid-day as a complex of dying storms move in from Oklahoma. Likely around 12-3 PM. If it can make it here! Gusty winds up to 40 MPH would be the main concern.

Radar UPDATE 6:45 PM 09/01/25

I know you see the clouds, and see that rain on the radar but lets not get too excited. The lake is hitting us again , ā€œprotectingā€ us from the rain. Most of that should stay just to our west but Iā€™m not going to rule out that additional storms will develop.

There is a outflow boundary coming in hot with this thing so that will bring in much refreshing cooler air. Again, it may spark off a few additional storms but we will see. Im betting we stay dry and watch the storms pass right by us. Stay tuned for updates here at CCLW.

We have a pretty good chance of rain today. 40%-50% Any storms that form will likely be slow moving, and produce heavy rainfall. Gusty winds up to 30-40 in the strongest storms. Flash Flooding could become a concern too due to them slow moving
