Welcome to the official page for my YouTube channel Let's Ride Illinois. On my channel you will find videos of people driving how you shouldn't here in the Chicago area. The moves you see people doing in these videos are moves that should not be done because:




1) They annoy other drivers

2) They can potentially cause a crash or get you a ticket

3) If you are learning to drive and yo

u do any of these moves on the road exam you could fail. Also this channel could serve as an outlet that can ease the pain you feel on our roads by seeing that you are not alone in being annoyed by bad or inconsiderate drivers. From time to time I even make mistakes when I drive and will also post those in my episodes whenever I make them. In addition to all of this, you will see scenic drives, spotlights of construction projects of interests.

Designated as an Important Bird Area by the National Audubon Society it is a premier destination for birdwatchers.

-Endangered Species: A vital habitat for rare grassland birds such as the Henslow's Sparrow, Bobolink, and Eastern Meadowlark.

-Diversity: Over 240 species of birds have been documented at the site.

- Other Wildlife: You may also encounter monarchs, crayfish, and native amphibians.

You will also find terrain that you wouldn't believe was in Cook County such as rolling hills and wide open fields. This is not a flat hike by any stretch of the imagination. Looking for a nice on this warm day? Well, here in you're in luck. All you have to do is to Churros Mi Amor . They have two locations, one in Algonquin and another in St Charles. Last night March 20,2026 we visited the Algonquin location. My order was "un churro de canela y otro lleno de fresa" (my exact words at the counter. This translates to one churro plain with cinnamon and the other with strawberry filling. Other interesting touches we've noticed were a heart mural near the entrance to the store that reads "Te amo un churro". This is a play on the Spanish language expression "Te amo un chorro" which is translated as "I love you so much". So not only are you getting a great tasting sweet treat but you are also getting great customer service and an excellent presentation.I know I also keep saying this but that Illinois is one of the top states for cuisine? you absolutely must run today to ¡Churros Mi Amor Rápido Rápido Rápido!

I'll never understand the point of driving like this. What purpose does it serve? Maybe someone can explain it to me. Shame that the City of Zion Illinois Police Department wasn't posted up in the church parking lot like they always are. Would've been a good catch. Last night, Sunday March 8 2026. I caught the first 6pm or later sunset of the year here in Illinois. This marks the first day since last October that we have had daylight in the evening. This is credited of course to Daylight savings time. This gives people who work until 5 in the evening up to 3 hours of daylight after work to enjoy all the beautiful nature that has to offer. that Illinois has the best in the US? to Half Day Forest Preserve ↗️ to see what I mean

Over the past few months it has come to my attention that is on the rise in the Chicago area. It's almost as bad as it was if not worse than the pre pandemic levels, especially on . Yes, the response by the driver in front of me was also irrational but this is what can result by driving slow. Yes, slow driving in contrary to popular belief is also and is also dangerous. that there are laws against driving excessively (more than 10% ) under the speed limit? I will post the laws below. Hopefully the Illinois Department of Transportation City of Zion Illinois Police Department and the Lake County IL Sheriff's Office can all come up with a solution to combat the growing safety issues along this route.

Heyyy, today is and if you find yourself around Freeport... ↗️ to Fiesta Cancun Authentic Mexican Restaurant for a great meal. that they are related to the Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant in Dixon IL? This is the far superior of the locations as the presentation is much better as well as how prepared the tacos were. It's everything you would expect of an authentic taco and is an ideal place to go for taco Tuesday.

I can ride a bike faster than the speed this driver was going and eventually slowed to. In all seriousness if you are driving this slow you probably shouldn't be driving at all.

Oop! Looks like the last few videos I've released on this topic are finally starting to resonate. Today, a was pulled over by the Illinois State Police Troop 3 for violating the lane restrictions (you can tell by how he's stopped on the left shoulder). Now we just need the Illinois Secretary of State to increase penalties for being caught, then we will see more enforcement and eventually this will stop and things will go back to how they were prior to 2014. Then we can all get to our adventures and destinations with minimal delay and in peace
