THIS IS A HEADS-UP FOR THE OKC AREA/SOUTH METRO...

There is increasing concern of a supercell or two developing along the dryline in SW Oklahoma that could impact anywhere within the red circle below between 7:30 PM and 11:00 PM. If these storms develop, they will be in an extremely unstable environment with all hazards, including the potential for strong tornadoes, possible. Please have at least three ways to receive weather warning notifications and stay weather-aware this evening!

Severe Weather Pattern Returns (Thursday–Monday)

An active spring pattern is setting up across Oklahoma and the Southern Plains, bringing multiple rounds of storms through early next week.

Thursday: Storms develop with a growing severe threat
Friday: More widespread storms, all hazards possible
Saturday: Continued storm chances with heavy rain concerns
Sunday: Potentially a more active severe weather day
Monday: Storms begin shifting east, with decreasing local impacts

⚠️ Main threats include:
• Large hail
• Damaging winds
• A few tornadoes
• Locally heavy rainfall

📡 Stay weather aware as conditions may change quickly through the period. More updates to come.

Tornado near Ponca City yesterday from one of our storm trackers! This tornado is likely separate of the one that touched down in Ponca City. As this storm continued to latch on to the cold front, it seemed to drop a few more tornadoes!
