3 years. So many versions of expressing love in all different stories. Zero regrets. 💌
We’ve shipped couples, fought over tropes, ugly-cried together, and found our people — all inside the best indie bookstore around. , you complete us.
Happy anniversary to the club that proved the best love story is the friends we made along the way. 🥂📚

What begins in the bog ends in friendship, Scotch samples, Bog Juice and Bog Cake by our members.

This month our Horror Book Club read The Bog Wife by Kay Chronister — and once again, a group of people from wildly different walks of life came together over the most beautifully unsettling story. That’s the magic of this club. We didn’t expect to find our people here, but here we are.
Huge love and gratitude to for creating the kind of community where this happens. You give us more than books — you give us a place to belong. 🖤📚 also shoutout to for 📸

Last week I was sitting under the carport pretending I’m not becoming one with the humidity. The Bog Wife has me in a chokehold and honestly the weather is complicit. Kay Chronister wrote a gothic novel and the atmosphere personally showed up to my house; gotta love a fully immersive experience!

New town, new home, new chapter 🏡✨

Officially settling into Pennsauken, New Jersey—and yes, one of my first priorities was getting a library card 📚
Nothing says “this is home” like knowing where I’ll be spending a lot of my free time 💛

Cracking open Sunburn by Chloe Michelle Howard for this month’s Pride Bookclub 🌈📚 We’re meeting up tonight and I’m trying to keep an open mind… even though the beginning is definitely on the drier side for me. 👀

But hey—slow starts sometimes lead to the best payoffs, right? Here’s hoping this one heats up as I get further in 🔥✨

November Reading Wrap 📚✨ — 10 books!

• The Nightingale – Kristin Hannah 🕊️🇫🇷 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A heartbreaking, beautifully written WWII story of sisterhood, bravery, and sacrifice. Completely unforgettable.

• Cultish – Amanda Montell 🧠🎤 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️
An interesting look at persuasive language and how it shapes the world — some parts stronger than others.

• If Not for My Baby – Kate Golden 👶💔 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fast-paced, Rockstar romance with strong romantic tension — easy to devour.

• Red Rabbit Ghost – Jen Julian 🐇👻 — ⭐️⭐️
Eerie vibes and a compelling premise, but the ex*****on didn’t fully work for me.

• V for Vendetta – Alan Moore 🎭🔥 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bold political themes and striking visuals, but pacing and density weren’t fully my style.

• That’s a Great Question, I’d Love to Tell You – Elyse Myers 💬💛 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Warm, vulnerable, relatable, and laugh-out-loud real. Loved every bit of her storytelling.

• A Sorceress Comes to Call – T. Kingfisher 🔮🦉 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dark fairy-tale energy with creepy magic and a strong heroine.

• The Devil She Knows – Alexandrea Bellefleur 😈💘 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Swoony chemistry and a heroine who knows her worth — satisfying romance!

• Every Drop Is a Man’s Nightmare – Meghan Kamalei Kakimoto 🌧️🩶 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Raw and sharp storytelling that lingers after you turn the final page.

• Wreck – Katherine Newman 🛤️❤️‍🩹 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Emotional and introspective — thoughtful themes, but didn’t fully hit like I hoped.

We all came in the pouring rain 🌧️ last Thursday - 10/30 for book club to chat about The Deathless One 💀✨ Everyone loved the romance and the dreamy parts of the story, but we all agreed — the spice showing up in the last five pages was just unfair 😅 And let’s just say, opinions were split on the princess not being able to figure out if she’s a witch and going back and forth on her deal with the old god. Still, such a fun read and a great night with the book club crew as usual.💕

Horror Book club last night was such a good time 🕯️ We dove into Red Rabbit Ghost — some loved the haunting atmosphere, others (me included) had a bit of mixed feelings. I’m a little over halfway and curious to see if the story sticks the landing. Either way, it’s been a good discussion for our October read. 🍂

✨ Last Saturday night was pure horror-reader heaven — I got to attend Grady Hendrix’s author talk! 🕯️ We dove into an entertaining (and spooky!) discussion about witches, eerie vibes, and the power of women in horror and beyond.

After the talk, I hopped in line to get my books signed and had a fun little chat with Grady about bookselling before snagging a photo together 📚💀 It was such a great night — funny, insightful, and full of that perfect October energy.
