As you might know, Senator Mike Lee, out of Utah has proposed a Senate bill attached to the budget that would require mandatory sale of Public Lands. This is unacceptable. This Bill would steal millions of acres from the hands of the next generation. These lands bring billions of dollars in revenue to the American people and support small towns across the United States. Furthermore, this country was built on exploration and the pursuit of happiness. This one time fire sale of public lands is theft to the American people at the hands of politicians. Call (202)224-3121 and speak to your local Senator and urge them to oppose this Bill. Also, call (202)224-2321to speak to Senator John Thune’s office to remove this Bill from the proposal.

My Dad and I got to experience the views of Glacier National Park at the same time and we both couldn’t believe the beauty of the Going to the Sun Road. Once a year my Dad and I get to take a trip together and no matter the state we always seem to have an adventure. So here is a shout out to my old man, Vernon E. Dury II.

Big Beautiful Bighorn. Last year my dad and I went to Glacier National Park to drive the famous Going to the Sun Road. As we reached Logan Pass I hollered at my dad to pull the car over. I forget how many rams there were total but was completely taken back by this majestic creature.

Decided this year to carry a 5’x8’ tarp in my backpack. There is many perks to carrying a tarp but for me I am mainly packing it along so I have a sun shield while glassing. The hunt I’m looking at is going to require time behind the glass and the last thing I need is a sunburn.

If my calculations are correct that would be 1,150 ft of elevation at a 45 degrees slope with a 55-60 lb pack. Not too bad for a flatlander. I am having a little bit of pack slip with the K3 EXO so I’m gonna have to make adjustments.

Throw back to Ohio 2023. When all hope was lost, this bird gobbled 125 yards from me at 5PM. It was only moments later when I pulled the trigger at 7 steps. It’s amazing how the woods can change within moments. Ohio was a repeat state for me due to the fact that I got sick in 2022 mid trip. This turned out to be a good end to the Ohio saga.
