Expect increasing clouds and HOT temperatures for today.

The HRRR model depicts rain showers coming through tonight with isolated thunderstorms.

A cold front brings better chances of thunderstorms for Saturday afternoon.

Less shower activity on Sunday.

It's going to be hot and dry over the next couple of days until a cold front greets us on Saturday.

Temps will climb once again into the mid-90s F for Thursday and Friday.

Saturday has our best chances of scattered thunderstorms and a possible Red Flag warning.

Last day of drier air before a front kick starts monsoonal moisture, and creates some afternoon thunderstorm activity.

Moisture gets more widespread on Friday and Saturday.

We can expect HOT temperatures over the next two days before a gradual, cooling trend.

The fire smoke may pick up over the next couple of days, especially on Saturday.

Fire smoke forecasting could be one of the harder things to accurately predict because it's hard to forecast new fire starts and resources being deployed or removed from fires.

Mostly clear skies from cloud coverage, but we will see some fire smoke haze that should filter out with afternoon winds.

Temperatures increase each day as they peak on Friday. A ridge of high pressure drifts overhead on Friday and is responsible for the increased temperatures.

No moisture is in the forecast until late next week, and the models are still in disagreement about that timing.
