It is with great excitement that I would like to announce the results of the 2022 Open Reading Period. I have selected "Famished Landscape" by Ellie Kibbe for publication as the most compelling and thematically coherent of the submissions received. As always this was a hard choice from many excellent submissions, and I would like to single out three other manuscripts for praise: "Blue Streak" by Allison Joseph, "A Task for Bronze" by Jared Carter, and "Post Holes" by Sandra Anfang. I wish I could publish them all, but I am wary of over stretching myself. Anyway, congratulations to Ellie! I look forward to working with her over the coming months.
