Sunrises at Sandys has to be one of the most challenging places to shoot.

The first 2 hours after sunrise you are constantly changing camera settings in the water, hoping the sun gets a little cloud coverage to soften the harsh light but not too much so the images don’t look flat.

You will be focusing on the camera but more importantly have to pay attention to the waves around you so you don’t get caught out of position.

It is truly the proving grounds for water photographers.
