One of the greatest humans I ever met. I will miss this beautiful smile and his huge heart.
RIP my friend
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Tony Arenas, an extraordinary advocate and friend to our community. Born in 1984 and diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at just six months old, Tony defied expectations and lived a life of resilience, gratitude, and purpose.
Tony’s impact extended far beyond his personal accomplishments. Just a few years after Tony’s birth, his parents, Jerry and Marie, launched what would become the family's signature fundraiser - the Tent Event - at their family restaurant, Steakhouse 100. Over time, the event transitioned to the Porterhouse Tent Event and ultimately evolved into Palmer's Steakhouse Tent Event in Hartland. From the start, Tony was at the heart of these efforts — planning and executing alongside his parents, sister Lisa, and extended family. As the years went on, Tony’s wife Melissa, his daughters Lana and Eva, and Lisa’s husband Joe joined in, making it a true family affair.
In addition to these events, Tony’s passion for Milwaukee sports led to the creation of the Milwaukee Bucks Golf Tournament, which ran for 24 years and raised critical funds for our mission. As a speaker at events such as the Breath of Life Gala, Milwaukee Wine Opener, and numerous golf tournaments, Tony shared his story generously, inspiring others and raising awareness about cystic fibrosis. His advocacy and optimism gave hope to countless individuals and families.
Tony lived with faith and gratitude, always honoring his lung donor and cherishing his family. His legacy will continue to inspire our work and the community he loved. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Tony’s family and friends. His impact will never be forgotten.
