Every year on July 28th, Lisa would celebrate. It was the day she gave her life to Christ. This year, she shared, “34 years ago yesterday I made the choice make Jesus Christ the center of my life. Best choice I ever made in my life. Going through hard times is so much easier when He’s by your side to help you through it.”

On Saturday, after a short illness, our sweet friend Lisa Bowling ran for the first time, and it was into the arms of her Savior.

Lisa was the personification of love and determination. Because she was born with cerebral palsy, every word she shared took time and effort, yet she never let that stop her. With the help of family or friends, she would carefully type out notes, most often short and sweet, asking how she could pray for you. And when she invited you to join her “Lisa Bowling Fundraiser,” those messages became longer, full of enthusiasm for the station she loved so dearly. Lisa championed BRIGHT-FM in every way she could to friends and family, reaching out through emails, Facebook messages, and personal encouragement. We know many in the BRIGHT-FM community befriended Lisa throughout the years, and her generosity, persistence, prayers, and joy touched everyone who knew her.

While our hearts mourn for the loss of our dear friend, we rejoice that Lisa is running free in Heaven. Lisa has exemplified what it looks like to keep our eyes on Jesus, how to love others generously, to be persistent in prayer for those we love, and to run our race with determination until we, too, see Him face to face.

Update from Tracey Tiernan ✨️

We know many of you have been missing Tracey during middays on BRIGHT-FM, and we wanted to share her latest update in case you missed it! 👇

She’s gotta PSL and she don’t care…

This is me, feeling a little better physically, and overwhelmed with gratitude. Dear friends…you have poured out prayers on my behalf and I am unable to grasp the blessing of it all. I feel so held, secured, seen by the Lord because of your intercession and kindness to me. I’ve received flowers, food, messages and music- yes, people are sending me songs to encourage me and I’ve created a healing playlist for myself.(BRIGHT-FM has most of them) I had no idea that I would be so wrapped up by your care. It is the undoing of me and I don’t know that I’ll ever be the same. There’s nothing like pain to bring clarity of priorities. There’s nothing like love to dismantle pride. There’s nothing like receiving a gift you can’t pay back, to make you really understand the Cross. I’m learning so much right now. Kinda would like a breather;)
I’ll keep you posted on my progress. I owe you that. Appt tomorrow and update coming soon. ❤️

What an incredible experience at the Goodbye Yesterday Tour in Baltimore with .rhythm

From powerful worship to moments of pure joy, Elevation Rhythm filled the room with energy and reminded us all what it means to let go of yesterday and step into what’s next.
