What a treat it was to have Hope Darst in the BRIGHT-FM studio this morning with Mornings with John & Tiffanie! They bonded over their shared love of Twizzlers, parenting, and music. She even performed her song “Mighty Name of Jesus” live in studio. We can’t wait to share more from her visit with you soon.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this country we live in.
It’s far from perfect. We have a lot of work to do, but You have each of us here for a reason, and we praise You for it.

Today as we celebrate, we turn our hearts to You in gratitude. Along with our gratitude, we bring our frustration, our grief, our worry, and our searching for answers.

June 19th, also known as Juneteenth, is a holiday with incredible significance. Why was Juneteenth declared a holiday? It commemorates the day in 1865 when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas and enforced the freedom of enslaved people, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed.
