Our 1916 Buzzards Bay 15 footer is on her mooring after the wind, weather and tide came together for an evening launch. We had the usual, though surprisingly steady, leaks that made us uneasy enough to tie up over night at a local boat club that was nice enough to lend us shore power to keep the battery charged over night. The next morning she was swelled up tight and we were off to the mooring under oar. With thunder storms threatening, we put off bending on the sails. Good thing we had the ash breeze to help us along.

SCUD getting warmed up for another season. Launched into the silence of an pandemic two years ago, fitted out almost entirely with our bronze blocks and hardware, we wish her another winning season.

Congratulations to Carter Richardson and East Passage Boatwrights of Bristol, RI for their new introduction, the East Passage 24 (EP 24), seen on the cover of Soundings Magazine. We dressed her up a little with our bronze jewelry. Also, kudos to Tyler Fields for the stunning photography.
