Nestled just north of Hollywood Boulevard and a stone’s throw from the heart of downtown is one of the best coffee shops you’ll find in Florida, let alone anywhere (and I’ve seen a lot of ‘em around the globe)! Superwow Coffee truly lives up to the wow in its name, dazzling every palate of the coffee lovers spectrum. Its pour-over selection delights on the daily with its signature, in-house-roasted Ethiopia/Brazil blend (“The Wow”) to specialty roasts sourced from across the globe. On the sweeter side are its ube-loaded Midnight Purple latte and French toast cold foam-bedazzled Circuit iced cortado. When you’re hungry, there’s actual food beyond a plain croissant - gyoza, karaage and a truffle honey grilled cheese among the options. Its staff is ever-friendly and knowledgeable. The vibe? Pristine with a colorful La Marzocco USA machine anchoring the space and homages to auto culture throughout. Whether you’re tired of the coffee norm or cruising through Hollywood, it’s a must. Browardist 🩵s you, Superwow. Keep doing your thing. -js

Would you attend a n**e dinner party in Hollywood? A new event at CLASS Lounge is turning heads across South Florida. On July 6, guests will gather for a five-course dining experience featuring the likes of a champagne toast, French onion and brisket soup, seafood courses, surf and turf, family-style sides, donut beignets and house-made ice cream. Attendees can arrive fully dressed and disrobe at their own comfort level, with robes and towels provided. We caught up exclusively with Chef Maurad Ali, whose culinary background includes cooking for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Lil Wayne, competing alongside some of America's top chefs and leading kitchens at notable South Florida restaurants. He shared how a conversation about a unique dinner unexpectedly sparked the idea for a n**e dining experience and why the first event is already close to selling out. The event takes place inside the newly opened CLASS Lounge in downtown Hollywood, a sister concept to C.L.A.S.S. Soiree Steakhouse. Organizers say the goal is to create memorable social experiences that bring people together in a welcoming and respectful environment. A mixer brand born in South Florida is quickly becoming one of the state's fastest-growing beverage stories. Browardist recently caught up with founder Matt Teitelbaum to discuss how a cold-plunge-inspired idea evolved into Revello Modern Mixers, a line of functional mixers infused with electrolytes, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Available in flavors like Sparkling Grapefruit, Ginger Beer, Sparkling Lemon and more, the brand is now pouring at Broward spots thanks to Southern Glazer's distribution including Le Méridien Dania Beach, The Vault Hollywood, JByrd's Muddy Waters Restaurant & Raw Bar and Red Door Asian Bistro & Hibachi, among others.
