Our Field Technician / Installer position is a key individual that contributes directly to the company’s goal of becoming a premier partner in Northern New England. This position has the opportunity to earn a rewarding income through our base pay system with incentives.

Job Description
A Field Technician / Installer completes site surveys, pre-qualifications, installs equipment and educates our customers on their new equipment and services. In addition, the following describe the job functions associated with a professional installation.

• Confirming needed supplies, tools and equipment and consult with operations on specifications of work orders
• Planning to perform each job safely and efficiently
• Providing top level customer service by communicating to the customer an estimated arrival time prior to arrival at the site
• Reviewing order (new installation, additional services or troubleshooting) with the customer before commencing work order and upselling where possible
• Conducting site survey and working with customer to determine scope of work
• Verifying that the completed order meets the customer's needs and preferences and providing customer education on equipment
• Cleaning up site, conducting final account review with customer and updating customer accounts on mobility tablets

Technician / Installer Job Requirements
• Good written and verbal communication skills required
• Basic computer skills required; basic electronics and/or audio/video knowledge is helpful
• Strong customer service skills; friendly, approachable and motivated with a strong work ethic and high degree of integrity

• Physically able to stand for long periods of time on a ladder, lift over 70 lbs at times, crawl into small spaces, work in all climates and remain within the weight requirement of 275 lbs
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Successful completion of a background check and drug test is required for employment consideration

Education & Experience
• High school diploma (or GED) required; college or technical/vocational school a plus
Other Skills & Qualifications
• Assertive, yet consultative and results oriented with a contagious competitive attitude
• Intermediate computer and data entry skills including use of the web
• Excellent communication skills; including, articulation, grammar, and persuasion
Additional Information
Our business is open five days a week, but our installation service might extend beyond normal business hours and possibly into nights and weekends. Some travel with overnight stays are required. Schedules tend to remain fixed; however, flexibility is a requirement.

It goes without saying that subscription TV service is changing before our eyes. We are far from the days of traditional linear TV programming subscription as a one stop shop for all in home entertainment.
Normal has become continuous carriage disputes with broadcasters and providers alike navigating means for delivering content while keeping technology advanced and programming affordable.
There are more “over the top” streaming sources now than ever before and many broadcasters are finding success in delivering their content through apps and online sources. NBC is leveraging two very key events towards their fairly fresh PEACOCK APP. The OLYMPICS and SUPER BOWL LVI. NBC actually traded Super Bowl rights for this season with CBS to gain a distinct advantage and migrate consumers to their streaming service PEACOCK. This is in hopes that NBC will increase viewership with paid subscriptions rather more traditional FREE OVER THE AIR service and to leverage that to get providers like Dish to pay more to carry their content and pass along that increase to consumers.
In many markets it looks like Dish will sit on the sidelines and not carry NBC and allow this to playout during February. We are all watching to see how this will impact subscription TV and us as consumers.
In the meantime to watch the OLYMPICS and SUPER BOWL LVI check out the PEACOCK APP:

NBC will be charging a subscription fee of $4.99 per month and one month should get you very in depth coverage of everything OLYMPICS and all the latest news as well as the big event SUPER BOWL LVI
