When I first built Around Town Sound I really didn't imagine that it would grow to encompass so many people the way it did. It warms me up to know that so many great feelings, so many awesome times have been made partly because of what we were able to do with you. I want you to know that we are still working on the NEXT CHAPTER in this fantastic book of ours. Stay tuned, stay beautiful and keep singing your asses off.. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and we love you.

It's been a long time since Around Town Sound has put on a show. For all of all of y'all. I get a few people a week hitting my sites asking where or when we will be next.
To clear the air, I've mostly-retired. I do events and benefits and such. I do private parties sometimes. I'm not in bars right now.
However, if you, your brother and your cousin's wife happen to find a place where Around Town Sound might fit, let us know.

Just got caught up to the Baseball journey of my television day and watched a painful anthem. That poor girl was so mishandled in the booth it was disgusting. She may not have been at her best (never heard of her) but I know pitch correct (autotune) when I hear it and it destroyed her. Then, doing it in a stadium... She needs to fire her manager a year ago.

Gone From My Sight
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side,
spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.



Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone."



Gone where?



Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me -- not in her.

And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone,"
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"



And that is dying...
