Good afternoon, Bosque County,
Our friends US National Weather Service Fort Worth Texas have put us under a flood watch starting tonight at midnight through Thursday night.
🚨 FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT 🚨
Starting at midnight tonight, a Flood Watch goes into effect for Bosque County and surrounding areas.
📍 This includes Bell, Comanche, Coryell, Hamilton, Lampasas, McLennan, and Mills counties.
🌧️ What to expect:
Widespread rain totals of 1–2 inches, with some areas possibly seeing up to 4 inches.
Heavy rainfall may cause flooding in rivers, creeks, low-lying areas, and spots with poor drainage.
Urban and rural areas are both at risk.
💡 What you should do:
Monitor weather updates closely.
Be prepared to take action if Flood Warnings are issued.
Avoid driving through flooded roadways; Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
Secure outdoor items and check that drainage areas are clear.
