So if people are too dangerous to govern themselves, why are some people magically trustworthy enough to govern everyone else?
The argument keeps looping:
“People are bad, so we need rulers.”
“But rulers are people.”
“Yes, but we need them because people are bad.”
At some point, the conversation has to confront the contradiction.
The real question isn’t whether imperfect people exist.
It’s whether giving some imperfect people power over other imperfect people solves the problem—or simply creates a bigger one.
