One thing I've learned during my time in London is that sometimes the best places are not on Google or TikTok. One of the best decisions I made was joining the free advanced English classes at Stafford House. Besides improving my English, I met people from all over the world. We shared stories, travel tips and recomendations that I probably would've never found online.
Making friends in a city as big as London isn't always easy, especially if you're only here for a short time. Those classes gave me the chance to connect with people from different cultures, and that's actually how I discovered some amazing museums and even planned my visit to the iconic Harry Potter Studios. Sometimes all it takes is one conversation.
Another thing I totally recomend is exploring London by bike. It gives you a completly different perspective of the city. You can stop whenever you want, get lost in streets you would've never walked through, and enjoy the city at your own pace. The best part is that London has electric bikes almost everywhere, and you can rent one for a very small price.
London is the closest thing to a world capital. Of course that's just my opinion, but after being here... I can understand why so many people see it that way.
It's also easy to understand why London is consistently recognized as one of the world's leading cities. While the rankings change every year, studies that evaluate quality of life consider factors like culture, education, infrastructure and public transportation, and London continues to stand out globally in many of those areas.
Looking back at June 2026, I realized this trip wasn't only about visiting famous places. It was about the people I met, the conversations we had, and those unexpected moments that ended up becoming the best memories.
