Scrolling through social media here recently and found a post on a community page offering white oak wood for anyone willing to haul it away - I couldn’t pass up the chance. Upon arrival this man’s back yard was FILLED with various size logs and blocks like this one.

I learned the man’s father owns the property and the tree started to get too much lean towards the house than he was comfortable with so they ultimately decided to cut it down. Not sure if anyone has quoted tree removal here lately but it’s not cheap and apparently it is extra for the company to haul the debris away. This gentleman decided to forgo that option thinking he could do the work. This tree must have been massive because his entire back yard was littered with cut wood!

I ended up with three large blocks and one log from that trip. Here is how we started to break down and process this wood so it can become your next memorable piece!
