Extra $1 Million for Cullman County Schools!

The first day of school is always exciting!

I’m especially excited on this first day of school to present an extra $1 million in state funds to Dr. Shane Barnette and the school board!

As I have visited with educators, students and parents across my district, I have learned of their additional needs as we strive to provide the very best education available for our future workforce.

This extra $1 million will be available for facilities and school improvements and will address many of the needs I have learned about during my visits.

We will be announcing some more great news in the near future for Cullman County schools, Cullman city schools, Marion county schools Winston County and Haleyville schools!

This $1 million announcement today is a good beginning of a lot of extra school funding announcements that will be coming for my Senate district in the weeks, months and years ahead!

It is my goal to do everything I can in my legislative position to provide the necessary resources to have the best outcomes possible in my Senate district, which includes Cullman, Marion and Winston counties.

It is a pleasure to work with Dr. Shane Barnette and his team and school board at Cullman County Schools!

Going to say it.
The Cullman Sheriff Department would have been there to assist the mayor and council to secure the Video evidence safely and effectively and to ensure proper chain of custody. There are reasons why private businesses use armored car services.

Not including the safety risk of non-law-enforcement officers handling evidence regarding a homicide. Very dangerous. And the timeframe is very strange just my perspective. What do you think?

****UPDATE 2:00 P.M.**** It appears the majority of Morgan County and surrounding areas are back up and with service. There may still be some experiencing issues.

***UPDATE 10:00 AM** This is affecting more than just AT&T. Some services are starting to come back up****

‼️☎️ NATIONWIDE AT&T OUTAGE ☎️‼️

What we know is those with AT&T service may not be able to call 9-1-1.

This is a NATIONWIDE outage including FirstNet.

If you are at a place with WiFi, turn on your WiFi calling if possible.

Right now texting to 9-1-1 does not seem to be working with AT&T services.

Please do not call or text 9-1-1 to “test” it.

We will continue to update as we receive more information.
