40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one.[a] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Luke 10:40-42

Imagine you’re in the middle of a winter storm. If you go out every hour and move just a few inches of snow off your walkway with a small shovel, it takes thirty seconds. You barely break a sweat, and your path stays clear all day.

But, if you stay inside and wait for the storm to ‘finish’ before you even open the door, you’re going to wake up to a six-foot drift blocking your exit. Now, you don’t need a shovel; you need a plow. You’re exhausted before you even start. Your clutter is the snow. The Chuck It Bucket is your small shovel.

If you wait for ‘Decluttering Day,’ you’re staring at a six-foot drift of stress. But if you ‘chip away’ as you walk through your day—one item at a time, one ‘toss’ at a time—the path to your peace stays clear. You don’t even notice the work because you never let the drift pile up.

“Be fruitful and multiply”. We ARE multiplying the God’s glory!! Not to mention, my former employer introduced me to how amazing and loving God can be. We’re all just out here creating these sparks!

I spent my NYE cleaning my house. It’s exactly how I would spend it growing up. I loved cleaning & organizing. I loved taking care of people. I was called weird as a kid and now I’ve made my entire career on it. Here’s to another year of being weird and caring for people. I love you all, THANK YOU.
