CANCELED Sandy Hook Speedway : KART-UM DOWNS SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND
(STREET, MD) - WE ARE VERY SORRY TO SAY WE ARE GOING TO CANCEL & RESCHEDULE THIS WEEKEND'S KART-UM DOWNS SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP.
WE HAVE AGONIZED OVER THIS DECISION, ESPECIALLY WITH THE WEATHER APPS LACKING ANY CONSISTENCY. HOWEVER, THE ONE THING THAT IS CONSISTENT AMONG ALL OF THEM IS THAT THERE IS A HIGH PERCENTAGE OF PRECIPTATION BOTH DAYS.
WE ARE CHOOSING THE CANCEL (AND RESCHEDULE) THE ENTIRE WEEKEND BECAUSE THE SPIRIT OF THE EVENT IS ABOUT HAVING A 2-DAY, 4-RACE SERIES - AND WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE EVERYONE WITH A SAFE, DRY TRACK FOR TWO DAYS TO COMPETE FOR THIS CHAMPIONSHIP. WITH THE INFORMATION CURRENTLY AT OUR DISPOSAL, WE DO NOT FEEL CONFIDENT THAT WE COULD GET THE WHOLE EVENT IN THIS WEEKEND, AND HAVE DECIDED TO RESCHEDULE THE EVENT.
THE RESCHEDULED DATE FOR THE KART-UM DOWNS SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP IS SEPTEMBER 6TH-7TH. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND WE HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE!

After last week's flip I have unfortunately come to the decision not to race Attack of the Clones tomorrow. After the stress of the work week on my knee it hasn't recovered as well as I'd have liked. I owe it to myself and my competitors to be 100 percent before committing to 2 25 lap features. I have had this show circled on the calendar 3 times and it was one of the 2 shows I was most looking forward to. Thank you to 193 Promotions for putting together an awesome event and all of the sponsors. I still plan on being at Selinsgrove Speedway & Raceway Park to support tomorrow.

Firecracker Special Results
Selinsgrove Speedway & Raceway Park
Heat race results don't show the speed we were building up. Had several sketchy moments in the heats and was able to keep out of trouble. In the 410 heat had an extra 10 pounds of mud on me after getting pelted in the first turn with everyone fighting over the bottom. The 410 feature start went the same as far as fighting over the bottom. Survived the first double file. Ended upside down the second attempt. Broke at the threads on the steering yoke and scratched from the 375 feature. Appreciate everyone that put on and sponsored the event.

Not the night we dreamed up. Didn't complete a lap of feature racing. Did what I feel was right to avoid making someone else's mess worse and went over. I'm ok just sore and mostly bummed. Felt good out there just wish there were some results to share. Will do a more detailed post tomorrow. Just remember you can't win on the first lap.
