Decorated eggs with my sugaplum…. Phi took the lead on decorating the eggs and did her thing while I helped a little on the side. I’m not going to lie, she might have a better eye for this than me because these came out too cute.

And now for a bookish post.
Y’all might not be able to tell from my recent posts, but this is a book page too, Bookstagram, BookTok, whatever you want to call it. I haven’t read many fun books lately because I’m currently in grad school, and those are the only books I’ve been reading.

Now, I have purchased a lot of books to add to my TBR pile, and I will be revamping my Bookstagram and TikTok soon. Stay tuned.

Phiona didn’t make this trip with us, but you already know I had to stop by Build-A-Bear and make her a little souvenir. She now has the cutest axolotl named Lucy.

Shenanigans with Flanagan: I really just be buying stuff at this point…
Tried Chan Bai Mei Fruit Candy and I’ll give it a 7/10. The fruit itself was good, but that candy coating was extremely crunchy and hard… it kept stabbing my gums every bite. The peach ice cream was a no for me, but my son liked the mango, so at least somebody won.

More Shenanigans with Flanagan… I tried KPOT
I’m giving it a 7/10. The experience was cute.

Overall it was cool to try once, but I probably wouldn’t go again. Glad I had the experience though! It is all you can eat but they do charge a lot waste fee.

On today’s episode of Shenanigans with Flanagan… me and the bodyguard went indoor skydiving … I wasn’t too scared buuutttt the minute that wind picked up and I started floating, all I could hear in my head was them dramatic ass saxophones getting louder and louder ….I just knew I was about to embarrass myself, mainly because of my form..but once I got that down it was actually fun…10/10 would do it again… wish I could have went a tad bit higher.. !

Took my son to Netflix House today and we did the One Piece escape room. It was actually so much fun! He was way better at the clues than me, but I definitely helped a little 😂

So… Phiona out here being smarter than me already 😂

She was selected to represent her school’s STEAM program at their Innovation in Action Night located at the Highschool …because of her creativity, problem-solving, and all that big brain stuff. Baby girl was coding… do I know how to code? Absolutely not.
I’m so proud of her.

I have not posted in a while because life has been all grad school, all work, and very little room to slow down. But last weekend, I made space for my suga plum.

Phi and I went on a mother/daughter date to see Wicked for Good. We had hibachi (my favorite), then hit Five Below for some Wicked goodies. It was so much fun. The movie was beautiful. Not gon’ lie, a G shed a tear. There was one scene that wasn’t graphic but was a little too much for my 7-year-old’s eyes, so I had to hit her with the cover-your-face moment. Not round here, potna.

Sharing this movie with her made it so special. She has been talking about it to anyone who will listen, mainly her 14-year-old brother.

I am hoping to find my way back to reading, posting, and being present here more often.

Grad school journey is almost done. Bear with me.

The Wellness Almanac.. so I recently started back journaling. I picked this book up off my shelf forgot Ieven bought , I opened to February and immediately discovered affirmations. The illustrations are phenomenal and showcase Black Girl Joy!
