🧠💬 Let’s talk about substance use.
Many teens experiment with alcohol, va**ng, or other substances. But what starts as “just trying it” can quickly turn into something more serious—substance use disorder (SUD).
🚫 SUD isn’t about “bad choices” or “weakness.” It’s a health condition that affects the brain and body.
✨ The good news? Help is out there, and recovery is possible.
Signs to watch for in yourself or friends:
🔹 Pulling away from friends and activities
🔹 Struggling in school
🔹 Needing more of the substance to feel the same effect
🔹 Using substances to cope with stress, anxiety, or sadness
💡 You’re not alone. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. If you have questions about Substance Use Disorder, you can call Hanover Behavioral Health and speak to a counselor. (781) 924-1913
