I want to take a moment to thank everyone who came together to make the Winter Festival such a huge success. I rely on the HPD to estimate numbers and their best estimate is that we had about 4000 people in Four Corners on Friday night.
There’s so many people to thank! This was a town-wide effort! Everyone from Hanover Police Department, Hanover MA Fire Department, Town of Hanover, MA DPW, Hanover town hall HanoverParks AndRecreation, Hanover Community Television, Hanover MA Council on Aging, John Curtis Free Library staff, Hanover MA Historical Society, Office of Family and Community Engagement, all the shops in Four Corners...
Catherine Loreth Follett coordinated all of the businesses in Four Corners, Lisa Bellantonibrought in the field hockey team to stuff all the luminaries and coordinated the food trucks. And the Scouts! I think every scout in town came to lay out the luminaries and man the fire pits. Emmanuel Dockter, who bought all the Scouts dinner. Our town manager, even our brand new neighbor Previte’s Marketplace who offered up parking at his new market. Steve Ryerson for all the awesome photos, Drew Philip and Dave Malekpour offering up their DJ services, Deb Singer Brewer for coordinating dancers on the main stage. All of the dance schools who donated their time to entertain us… First Citizens' Federal Credit Union for sponsoring the stages.
There’s so many people… Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church church… Can you imagine how many bakers were involved in coordinating that cookie sale! Hanover high school students in the vox chorus that came and sang, four corners resident Cindy Newton and her student who played strings in the cold on the steps at Saint Andrews…
David Nathan for wearing the big red suit, Chad Graybill for the storage trailer, Christopher Azizian for hauling all the decorations and the doctor's cart from the Historical Society, Burke's Alewerks for the generous pours.
....and of course, whoever dressed those goats in sweaters!
