Today, Cynthia Carrillo is a woman transformed.
She turned her struggles as a rebellious teenager into strength. She converted her fears into fuel, and her dreams are now companies that will become her legacy.

At 14, Cynthia Carrillo was on a path to becoming just another negative consequence of divorce. Her parents’ separation made Carrillo rebellious, which only worsened as she entered high school.

She’s a single mother of twin boys, one of whom has long-term medical needs. She teaches high school science, and she coaches three sports. On top of all that, Amanda Marszalik still finds time to run ultramarathons of distances up to 31 miles, 62 miles, and even 100 miles in length.
