This past weekend I had the opportunity to compete in the first-ever Electric Unicycle races at Oakland Valley Race Park.

I raced in the Beginner Division and was able to take home 1st place. 🏆

It was great meeting other riders, seeing the EUC community come together, and being part of what I hope is the start of something big for the sport.

I posted my race video on YouTube if anyone wants to check it out. Thanks to everyone who helped make the event happen, and congratulations to all the riders who competed!

Varon, a US Army vet and former MMA fighter, is working hard to find new ways to heal and stay active after a motorcycle accident that cost him his left hand. Riding electric unicycles has become a vital part of his journey, helping him manage anxiety and PTSD while connecting with nature. 🚴‍♂️

He’s now aiming to get a new electric unicycle to race and commute longer distances, which would mean so much in giving him back a sense of freedom and purpose.
