The Anderson Audio crew does it again. . 46 continuous hours of non-stop show. We take this very special event for these incredible humans and bring Award Show style workflow to it. Separate Music and Production mixers for both FOH and Broadcast, Monitor "master control" where all audio converges and is sent to Band Wedges, Stage Fills, IEMs, DJ Booth Fills, IFBs, Backstage PGM, Hot Spots,. A2s to over see and execute stage changes and RF coordination. Audio Stage Managers embedded with the Production and TV46 crews to bring their creative vision to the Bryce Jordan Center and viewers at home. All teams working as one, over a Network and RF intercom system with a cleaverly deployed shout system for all 5 console positions via Dante. And a sound system that puts everything right where it goes!

Yesterday our crew provided house audio support for the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks celebration at Pier 17 which aired live on NBC last night. What a night! The show included performances by Ava Max, Eric Church, the Jonas Brothers, Keke Palmer, Trisha Yearwood, and Lenny Kravitz. One day of load in and two days of soundchecks/ rehearsals, then finally the live broadcast on the night of the 4th. We worked together with NBC to ensure seamless audio between live house, broadcast, record, and on stage monitors. It was a lot of work but it all came together nicely! The fireworks show at the end was definitely one to remember! Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸

We have had a busy spring! Recently we were tasked with providing full audio support for rappers GloRilla and Waka Flocka Flame in a 15,000 seat arena. One of the fun things about this show was figuring out a way to get more low end into the 200 section of seating. The solution? How about 10 Otto subs hung in a center array? Looks pretty neat, but also sounded great! We had all 34 subs working overtime providing that low end you need at a rap show, but they handled it well with plenty of headroom to spare. It was a busy day so we only snapped a few pictures, but here are some before the show and during the show from monitor world.

This week we are back at Pier 17 in NYC in preparation for the 2025 Seaport Concert Series. It couldn't have been better weather for a rooftop load in! The series kicks off on May 1st. Not just an audio company! We recently had the pleasure of providing full production support for Neon Trees on the first stop of their “Sink Your Teeth” tour. For the main PA we used EAW’s Adaptive boxes Anna and Otto in a stacked configuration. Otto provided the low end with a horizontal array on the floor and as part of the main stack.

We also got to show off some of our lighting chops on this show! We had a combination of ground supported and flown GT truss sporting a variety of fixtures such as our Rouge R2 wash lights, Maverick Storm 2 Profiles and Atomic 3000 LED strobes coming together for one nice looking rig!

THON 2025 is a wrap. From shop prep, to load in, from load in to sound check, and sound check to 46 hours of non-stop show, our crew puts in countless hours of work to make this event run smoothly. Using EAW’s Adaptive systems, the PA doing all the heavy lifting was 46 Anya, 16 Anna, and 16 Otto. 6 consoles patching 232 channels of input audio handled front of house, monitors and broadcast. We also had 32 channels of wireless microphones deployed, 8 wireless ears units and 10 EAW Microwedge monitors on stage. All this equipment is fun to count, but our favorite stat from the show is the $17,737,040.93 raised to support kids with childhood cancer.

THON at Penn State University, a 46 hour dance and live music marathon event, is the world’s largest student run charity that raises tens of millions of dollars each year to support children’s cancer research and individual families fighting childhood cancer.
