Please Be Aware:

I-81 southbound Exit Ramp 247A at the Route 33 interchange will be closed on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 7:00am until 5:00pm for the installation of a new drop inlet and pipe.

Southbound I-81 drivers needing to access eastbound Route 33 should follow the detour using Exit 247B, South Carlton Street, Reservoir Street, Evelyn Byrd Avenue, and Burgess Road. Digital message signs and detour signs are in place to guide motorists.

Thank you for traveling cautiously around the work zone.

City of Harrisonburg offices will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, November 11, 2025 in observance of Veterans Day. City offices will reopen Wednesday, November 12 at 8:00am.
Trash for Tuesday, November 11 will be collected on Wednesday, November 12.
Bulk and yard debris collection is cancelled for Wednesday, November 12.
The Recycling Convenience Center and Mobile Unit will be closed on Tuesday, November 11.

The City Council meeting was moved from Tuesday, November 11 to Wednesday, November 12.

The Planning Commission meeting was moved from Wednesday, November 12 to Thursday, November 13.
