Christmas is just 10 days away, can you believe it?!
Please see these important notices for next week, including changes to city services.

City of Harrisonburg offices will be closed Wednesday, December 24, 2025 and Thursday, December 25, 2025 in observance of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Trash for Thursday, December 25 will be collected on Friday, December 26.

There will be no bulk or yard debris collection on Wednesday, December 24. Please hold until the new scheduling system starts on January 5, 2026.

The Recycling Convenience Center and Mobile Unit will be closed Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25.

There will be no bus service on Christmas Day.

Additionally, the City Council meeting for Tuesday, December 23 is cancelled.

City offices will reopen Friday, December 26, 2025 at 8:00am.

Not only can you find live City Council meetings there, but you also can watch videos about City programs, services and events and receive information about how to better engage with your local government. Xfinity viewers can find the content on channel 1072. Glo Fiber viewers should tune to channel 7.
