Looking for ways to bring this Sunday’s Bible story, God Our Helper, into your home? Here are some simple ideas for the week ahead.

📖 Read page 152 in The Peace Table or Psalm 121, which was a song sung on the way to Jerusalem. What songs would you listen to or sing on a long trip?

🙏 Pray in color. Choose one line from the psalm and draw a picture of it as you pray those words silently.

🌿Go on a “journey.” Bring a snack to share along the way. Talk about what you see along the way, remembering that God is with you wherever you go.

Play a game of tag—one person is It, one person is Parent Bird, and the rest are Baby Birds. Baby Birds cannot be tagged while they are touching the Parent Bird. They can remain with the parent for five seconds. With only two players, designate a stuffed animal as the “safe place.”
