We are forever mesmerized by his works!

Frank Frazetta’s imagination changed how the world saw power. Born in Brooklyn in 1928 he began sketching heroes long before he was paid for them. By the 1950s his work for comic books and pulp covers had already set him apart. His paintings pulsed with movement and muscle yet carried poetry beneath the fire.

Through Conan the Barbarian, Tarzan, and countless fantasy warriors, Frazetta created mythologies that felt ancient and immediate. He made art that lived in memory — vivid, sensual, and eternal. His brushwork blended realism and dream, capturing tension at the moment before action.

Beyond pulp he became the visual heartbeat of an era. Rock album covers, film posters, and novels bore his stamp of otherworldly magnetism. Fans saw in his work not escape but elevation — the belief that imagination had muscle.

When he died in 2010 his legacy had already spanned generations. Frank Frazetta remains the eternal master of fantasy art, the artist who painted courage itself.

Adventure Party like it's 1999! This was Bob's sketch for a mailer advert. It shows a little how his mind worked around the time of the Blue City State Revision. An alternate was inked by Bob II for use at local hobby shops.

When Bob Bledsaw passed in 2008, he left behind a private library of 933 books; greatly expanding the Guild's reference library. It also includes games of many genres, magazines, comics, software, miniatures, and works of art. Some of the boxes were not opened until last year.

Our friends at Konami wish us to remind you that the release of Silent Hill F is just 10 days away. A lot of work went into the combat and power mechanics. The storyline will pull you in! Look for it, and enjoy it with us. We recommend it to your console libraries.

It was great seeing some new and old friends at GenCon! The new edition Village Books made it there and thank you for those buys! Got to judge a module for some new friends (I hope I did not disappoint), saw some tables, some minis, lots of cards (only one set of our 1976 Tac Cards), and made some plans for our 50th Anniversary, next July!
As for my thoughts on the Con, they have lost their way, and I have no idea what Sally O'Malley from SNL has to do with our industry. So much for pride and integrity! And the cost of booths are severely over-inflated!
