DJ Michelle Bee is an open-format DJ balancing motherhood with a full creative life as a background vocalist, songwriter, singer, aspiring producer, educator, event curator, and mentor.

She’s the founder of Afro Hrs, a celebration of vibrant Afrobeats culture, and a familiar face across Connecticut’s music scene, hosting karaoke nights and open mics that bring communities together. One of her proudest accomplishments? Helping transform students into DJs through her mentorship and education programs.

At SHE’s in the MIX, DJ Michelle Bee will be spinning and also leading The MIXHER Suite mini workshop, focused on Intro to Sound Engineering – empowering the next wave of women audio engineers.

Her mission is clear: use music, education, and entrepreneurship to uplift, connect, and inspire.
