Merry ChristmaHanuKwanzaaka & Happy Holidays to you & yours 🕯
Afro HRS was founded from a desire to create intentional space. Space for culture. Space for joy. Space for us to gather, be seen, and feel held through music, art, and community 🌍⏳️
What started as an idea has grown because of community. Because of people who showed up, poured in, partnered up, and believed that Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Afrocentric sounds could be more than a party. They could be a bridge. A reminder of who we are and where we come from. 🫶🏿
As we enter Kwanzaa, I’m deeply PROUD to still be doing this work and continuing the mission with the help of so many hands & hearts. This season calls us to reflect, recommit, and move with intention. To honor our roots while building something sustainable for the future ✨
This weekend, we gather for the 4th Annual Kwanzaa Karamu, a celebration rooted in culture, self-determination, and collective care. It’s bigger than one event. It’s part of a shared vision across the North Hartford Cultural District, with so many partners hosting Kwanzaa lightings and activations throughout the week. Visit the pinned post on IG to see the full NHCD Kwanzaa line-up and support the spaces and people keeping these traditions alive 🫶🏿
From Afro HRS to the community that continues to carry it forward, thank you. Always!
